A very useful part of the system is the ability to capture information for use in documents, calculations or later for transfer to the parent databuild system.s
There are 3 main areas where data is collected :
Includes basic contact information as well as client Notes
Allow you to customise your data collection
They can be mapped to a combination of Job, Contact and Supplier UDFs in the main system.
Notes
A notes system similar to that in the main Databuild system allows you to monitor each quotation
These are the same variables that find their way into calculations, bills and orders in the parent system.
A scan function in the Variables menu in the main screen scans the variables fields in the standard models and options to give a list of required variables for the current quote. Values of individual text or number variables can be pre-loaded in the Model and Options screens. In addition, defaults can be set for any text variables (Edit Prompts in the Variables menu) and selected using the dropdown in the text value column of the Variables tab
This data can then transfer to or update the parent databuild system using the Updating Parent System option
