Much of Databuild is color coded to make operation more intuative and accurate.
User Definable Colors
Companies
Each company has a user-definable background color. Set this color in Setup/Companies so that you always know what company you are working in.
Catalogue
Individual Items can have their colors ( and BOLD attribute) set. This makes it easy to indentify types of items (such as recipes) when estimating or ordering.
Jobs
Individual jobs can have their color set. Additionally each Job Group can have a default color set:
These colors are set by double clicking the color bar or by pressing the "I feel lucky" button 
to randomly generate colors
when the factory settings button 
is pressed, all jobs are assigned to the color of their Job Group
Additionally, when an individual job's Group is changed, it will inherit that group's color
Contacts and Suppliers
Operate much the same as Jobs, using Contact and Supplier groups respectively.
Price Levels
Individual price levels can be color coded
Cost Centres
Colors can be assigned Cost Centre Banks, Sub-Groups or individual cost centres
Job Control
Extensive use of colors is made to identify different types of activites and stages
