Copy Quantities

Summary

The easiest way to start a new job is often to copy quantities from a similar job or standard model

Details

The Copy Quantities has an upper panel where options are selected:

Copy Quantities

Clear entire Job        The target job quantities are deleted before copying begins

Clear Cost Centre.        If there are any quantities in the target cost centre, they are deleted. Cost centres where there are no source quantities are left intact

Sort                        Target Job is sorted

Round                        Target Job is rounded

Clear Zero Quantities        Zero Quantity items in the target job are deleted

Combine                        Similar items in the target job are combined into single items

Substitute Code                The   Code Substitutionroutine is run on the target job

Clear Existing budgets

Notes

Dates

Amounts

Attachments

Load Conversion grid

During the copy process you can alter load numbers. An example of this in use would be the copying multiple bills representing  units in a development into the same target. By adjusting load numbers during copy, the could be separated in the final target bill.This grid also allows you to copy selected loads only to another bill.

The lower panel contains 2 grids containing the FROM (source) Jobs and the TO (Target) Jobs

In the source grid, you can open up a child Cost Centre grid to select cost centres if you do not want to copy all cost centres.

A bar above each jobs grid displays the job database. You can select another database by clicking this panel. Job databases selected this way should relate to your current system database.

To copy quantities, budgets or order profiles, simply click on a source job, a target job and then press GO

To copy multiple source jobs onto a single target job, select multiple source jobs

To copy  a single source job onto multiple target jobs, select source  jobs

To copy  selected cost centres , open cost centre grid, select multiple cost centres.

To copy  selected cost centres on multiple jobs, open cost centre grid, select multiple cost centres, then select multiple source jobs

               Stop Copying

               Start Copying

               Closes the routine
