Databuild supports the following image file formats:

 

Windows Bitmap(.BMP)

Tagged Image Format(.TIF)

Windows Metafile(.WMF)

Portable Network Graphics(.PNG)

JPEG File Interchange Format(.JPG, .JPEG)

Graphics Interchange Format(.GIF)

 

To add an image, select Insert/Image from the menu bar and then select the relevant file.

 

To resize or move an image, click onto its border or corner.

 

Double clicking an image will load an editting program (such as Microsoft Paint) associated with the images's file type.

 

Various properties of the image can be set by either right clicking the image border or selecting Format/Images from  the menu bar:

Wrapping Style
Position Style. Images can be set in a fixed position, or can be set relative to preceeding text in a document or paragraph
Horizontal and Vertical Alignment

The size of the Image
The scale of the image. Use this to increase or decrease size by a percentage

Saving Style        Embed data in document: Images can be saved within a document, but this increases file size, and any changes to the original images are not reflected.

               Embed original file reference: The document store a reference to the image file. This reduces file size, but you have to be careful when shifting a file to ensure the referenced file is accessable.

               Export image and embed file reference: As above, except that the file is shifted (maybe to a central location) and may have its file name, type and attributes changed to the selected values
