Summary Sets quantities system defaults
Details
Various options in the estimating system are set:
View Controls what columns are visible in the main Bill screen: Budget column in Cost centre grid Supplier columns in Load grid Load No column in Quantities grid Locked Prices column in Quantities grid Price Level column in Quantities grid Line No column in Quantities grid
New Items
Use default Price Level on new items Alternative is to set price level to previous current item
Default Price level is selected from a dropdown
Default Quantity When new items are added they are given a default quantity (usually either 1 or zero)
Insertion point of new items can be be set At the end of the cost centre Before the current item After the current item
Sort Cost Centre grid Order that cost centres appear in grid Default (as set in Cost Centres module) Live on top. Live cost centres percolate to the top by Code by Name alphabetically by Value
Options
Auto close Loading Quantities, Orders or Copy Quantities closes the other two. Saves resources Auto Save Budgets Budgets are always saved without asking when exiting Auto reprice on load Whenever a job is loaded, it is repriced Auto Hog When you load a job it is automatically hogged to prevent other users editing it Block Edits on Logged Orders Logged Loads cannot be edited Use Supplier Area Pricing If the Items have Supplier prices setup it will use this as the preferred price Show all items in Catalogue search Rather than Item search simply prompting items in current Cost Centre Lock preferred supplier If checked, suppliers added to th loads grid are NOT automatically added to Nominated Suppliers Remove exploded recipes When recipes are exploded, main items are deleted rather than set to zero Explode Zero Qty recipes Determines whether recipe items without quantities are exploded Save Snapshots on change of Job If this value is non zero, the system will save a snapshot of your work automatically And Every Every XX minutes it will save a snapshot of the job Store in Company Docs Folder Will store in the Documents Folder (associated from Setup) Keep Cost Centre when changing jobs The current Cost Centre is selected within the next Job (BOQ)
Orders
This repeats the options available in Print Orders. This is useful as options can be saved to a file.
Toolbar
File Menu Save Settings Options can be loaded from and saved to a file. This helps to maintain multiple users with a consistent policy Load Settings
