Split Items

Split items function operates on items whose units have a calculation routine of area and have a workup text.

 

The function breaks the current item into a series of items, one for each valid area workup line.

 

The target item can be:

 

•Itself or any other area based item. The workup text becomes all preceeding invalid workup lines plus the current valid workup line.

 

•Any Item based on an each unit. The quantity is set to the current line quantity, and Height, Width and Location are set as Local Variables

 

Local Variables are carried through to the target item(s)

 

This function is particularly useful when entering joinery schedules
