Summary This is where individual models are set up, maintained and referenced back to the parent databuild system Access to this screen, and hence to the Options screen is only available to users who have access to Setup
Marketing, Proposal and Contract texts are set for each model, as well as lists of variables required. The parent bill can be scanned to give a listing of those variables.
Details
The left side contains a grid with all available models, where list prices can be set for each model, while the right side contains 7 tabs:
A layout file is displayed for the brochure document for each model.
Texts for the Brochure, Proposal and Contract can be edited by selecting the relevant tab.
The parent Databuild System Job database and Job are set. This is used to find the last cost.
The contracted number of working days can be set for contractual purposes. The system adds up the days from the base model and any selected options to give an estimated number of days for a contract
The plan and elevation images are used for brochures or within other documents. Use the OPEN Bear in mind that images can be inserted into any RTF document using the special field [Picture(Filename, xxx%)] and that the filename filed may itself contain other variables.
e.g. [Picture([Model UDF25],50%)] would retrieve a file stored in UDF25 and size it by 50%
An unlimited number of user definable fields can be setup. The UDF names are constant for all quotes while the individual fields vary from quote to quote. These values are then available to either transfer to the parent Databuild system or be incorporated in proposals and contracts
A list of all available options and PC Items is displayed, and the user selects which ones are applicable to the current model. These Options/PC Items are setup in the Option Contents screen.
Holds a list of variables attached to the current model. These combine with variables from included options to build up a varables list for each quote. They can then have their values set before (or after) transfer to the parent Databuild system where they find their way right through to purchase orders.
Values can be also be set at this stage. In the example above, "FLOORAREA=145.7" creates a Job Varable FLOORAREA and sets its number value to 145.7
