Standard Notes

Top  Previous  Next

Summary

Throughout Front End and Databuild for Windows, Standard Notes are widely used where the same notes are likely to be repeated.

They may be used in quotes, orders, bills, contracts and many other places

By Setting up a code to relate to the note contents, you can save storage overheads and make editing and selecting very much easier

B4 StdNotes

Standard notes and their first non blank line are shown in a grid on the left hand side.

The contents of each note are shown in a box to the right where they may be edited.

Each note can be up to 64,000 characters

A dropdown box lets you restrict displayed notes to a particular sub_set (Orders, Quotes, Claims or Variations etc.)

If the routine was called from a routine that selects notes, a Selected Notes box is displayed. You can add to this box by double-clicking a note, dragging a note to the box, or by pressing the toolbar button.
