Rather than develop separate schedules for each job, we develop schedules to suit a particular type of construction (e.g. single storey, double storey etc). These are then "copied" onto each job. Individual Job Schedules can also be saved as standard templates.
Each active job can have one of these templates imported into its schedule. This schedule may then be fine tuned, and start dates, end dates and duration for each activity monitored or edited. Orders in the template that are not in the job can be removed from the schedule, and orders in the job that are not in the template can be added to the schedule.
Template Creation
The Template is created by dragging and dropping Selected Milestones, Actions, and Cost Centres into the Template Table from the Activities screen.
The template requires a Title and file name for saving as a file. This must be inserted prior to saving the template.
The sequence for each activity is created by dropping it on the activity it follows, or using the command buttons to reorganize the tree.
Milestones must be in the "root" area (similar to folders in Windows explorer), and other activities below them:
The template is displayed in a tree view, and can be modified using the command buttons:
An alternative method to create templates is to create or modify a schedule in the main screen, and then save the schedule as a template
