Linking User Definable Dates to Schedules
Linking dates to schedules is a very useful feature.
Setting UDF Date Links
Date Links can be set:
| • | In Activities/Milestones, which carry through to Standard Templates and current Schedule when drag & dropped. |
| • | In Standard Templates which carry through to current Schedule when drag & dropped. |
| • | In the current Schedule |
Rebuilding UDF Dates
When you rebuild a schedule, if an activity is linked to a UDF date, and that activity does not have its start date locked, that activity will take that UDF date (if it exists) as its start date.
After the schedule is rebuilt, all activities with UDF date links will reset the UDF dates from the start dates of those activites.
Uses.
UDF dates can be viewed throughout the parent system.
UDF dates can be incorporated into custom reports as special fields
UDF dates can populate dates in Jobs/Contracts/Claim schedules which then create progress claims in Claims/Claim Schedules
