In light of our software modernisation announcement in July 2024 regarding the discontinuation of support for legacy versions of Databuild, we’re thrilled to announce the release of Databuild version 2.71 – the first exciting step in our modernisation project!
⚠️ We have upgraded our licence servers for Databuild which will disable support for TLS 1.0 and TLS 1.1 protocols.
What this means for you?
If your business is running a Databuild software version earlier than 2.71, new user licence activations may fail, and existing user licences may also stop functioning.
Updating the software to version 2.71 will help ensure a smooth transition, increase security and reduce the risk of delays when activating new licences. Our aim is to provide a hassle-free experience and avoid any inconvenience while we modernise the Databuild software.
Why we are making this change:
- 🔒 Enhanced Security: Earlier versions have outdated protocols (TLS 1.0 and TLS 1.1) that no longer provide sufficient protection against modern security threats. By updating the software, we aim to prevent potential vulnerabilities and ensure that user licencing data is safeguarded.
- 🚀 Improved Performance: Newer versions not only offer enhanced security but also better performance and reliability. By adopting these protocols, we can provide you with a faster and more seamless experience while we transition to a modernised version.
What you need to do?
For version eligibility, please ensure that you have an active annual software maintenance subscription. You can confirm this within your Databuild software by navigating to the Help menu and selecting ‘About Databuild’.

Email accounts@databuild.com.au and provide your software serial number so we can assist. - Assistance to update your software?
Email softwaresupport@databuild.com.au or call 1300 015 153 to schedule a convenient time for the update, as you may be impacted by this change if any of your team are using Databuild versions prior to 2.71.
